Ko Lanta, not same same

Peace and Quiet

Saturated by Phi Phi’s party lifestyle, I was headed for a three-night stay on Ko Lanta. The island, which is mainly Muslim, feeled way more authentic than any of my previous destinations.
Although there is not much to do on the 30km long island, I rather enjoyed my time there. The food was absolutely delicious and affordable and the scenic coast roads were just waiting to be explored by bike.

A quick drive around reveals a colourful crucible of cultures – fried-chicken stalls sit below slender minarets, creaking chow lair villages dangle off the island’s side, and small Thai wát hide within green-brown tangles of curling mangroves. – Lonely Planet
